I owned with my ex husband an apple orchard in Union Me with 1200 trees. We harvested and sold apples and made cider. I have a background in growing and cultivation of native plants. I also was a paid helper at a goat farm and milked 100 goats and helped make cheese.

My plan is to have a farm stand/ CSA and to bale and sell premium hay to horse owners. I have owned horses for 30+ years and know the requirements for good horse hay that will bring maximum value for the farm. In addition I plan to use my knowledge of cheese making to start a CSA primarily based on cheese but supplemented with vegetables grown on the farm.
