How it Works

Maine FarmLink - a program of Maine Farmland Trust, is a linking service that helps connect people who are seeking farmland with farmland owners (or their representatives) who are looking to sell, lease or work out non-traditional tenure arrangements based on their respective interests, needs and goals.

FarmLink

Anyone can browse the property listings on FarmLink. Our coordinator can help you list your property on the site and connect you with technical assistance and resources to support you through buying, selling, or leasing land.

  1. If you have farmland available, create a farm property listing; if you are looking for farmland, create a farm seeker profile that describes your farm interests.
  2. Connect with landowners and seekers about opportunities.
  3. Get updates and resources from Maine FarmLink.
  4. Reach out to our FarmLink Coordinator to receive assistance throughout your search.

Farm Seekers

Click here to search available properties. Some landowners have their contact information publicly listed, while others prefer that you reach out to our Farmlink Coordinator to be connected. If you are looking for farmland, create a profile that describes your farm interests so that landowners or our Farmlink Coordinator can directly contact you about available opportunities.

Farmland Owners

Click here to search farm seeker profiles. If you see a seeker who might be a good fit for your property, reach out to our Farmlink Coordinator, who can connect you with the seeker. If you'd like to be contacted by farm seekers or our Farmlink Coordinator when a good match is available, list your property on Farmlink.
