Past and Present Farming Experience:

Dear Landlord/Property Owner, My name is Cara Ramelow, and I am writing with my son Duncan StLouis, who is 29. For years, we have both shared the same quiet dream: to live on a small farm or acreage where we can care for the land, grow some of our own food, and enjoy a simpler, more grounded way of life. I am a young retired teacher. After decades in the classroom, I know the value of responsibility, consistency, and treating what is entrusted to you with respect. I was a Waldorf teacher for many years and had the pleasure of shepherding many classes on extended farm trip.My sonn and I have raised produce, kept chickens, and raised goats, roasters and rabbits, have one or two ideas for crops, cash crops, we would love to try. While working at UNH, I took the farming class at the extension. We have had this in mind for a very long time asnd have been looking for creative ways to make it happen. Those same habits would guide how we care for your property—keeping the house clean and well-maintained, looking after the grounds, and being reliable, respectful tenants who communicate openly. My son shares this vision fully. At 29, he is mature, hardworking, and ready to put real effort into the practical side of rural living—mowing, fencing, gardening, basic repairs, or whatever the property needs. We would not be casual renters looking for a temporary place; we would be two people who have waited a long time for the chance to live this way and who would treat the land and the house as something worth protecting. We understand that an acreage is more than just a house with a yard. It requires attention, steadiness, and a genuine appreciation for the quiet work of keeping it healthy. That is exactly what we are looking for, and exactly the kind of life we are prepared to live. We would be grateful for the opportunity to show you that we are the right people for this place. Thank you for considering us.Sincerely, Cara and Duncan
