Past and Present Farming Experience:

While we are first-generation farmers, our backgrounds include many experiences that translate well to land stewardship and farm life. John grew up around family gardens and spent time helping at a cousin’s dairy farm, developing an early appreciation for the work involved in caring for land and animals. He also has experience in construction and property improvement projects, giving him practical skills useful in maintaining and developing a farm. Marc has developed a strong interest in plants, landscaping, and gardening, recently spending significant time helping transform his mother’s yard and garden spaces while learning about plant care and soil health. Professionally, John has experience in entrepreneurship, photography, marketing, and real estate, which helps support our ability to build sustainable projects connected to the land through our Earthlings Made brand. www.earthlingsmade.com Together we approach farming with humility and curiosity, and we are committed to continuing our education through workshops, mentorship, and hands-on learning opportunities as we grow into responsible long-term stewards of the land.

Business Plan and/or future farming vision and goals:

We are aspiring farmers and land stewards seeking a property where we can build a long-term life centered around caring for the land, animals, and community. Through our company, Earthlings Made, we are developing products and projects inspired by nature and a belief that all living beings—people, animals, wildlife, and the land—are connected. Our vision is to gradually develop a diverse, small-scale farm that includes gardens, herbs, orchards, and native plant spaces while protecting the natural ecosystems already present on the property. We are especially interested in regenerative and low-impact practices that support soil health, wildlife habitat, and long-term sustainability. Over time, the property may also become the first home of Johnny’s Ark & Farm, a sanctuary-style space where animals can live safely and people can reconnect with nature. While we are first-generation farmers, we bring practical experience in property stewardship, construction, gardening, and entrepreneurship. We are committed to learning from experienced farmers, participating in educational opportunities, and approaching farming with humility, curiosity, and respect for the land. Our goal is to build a balanced homestead and farm that supports our family, nurtures the land, and contributes positively to the surrounding community for many years to come.

Farm Structures Needed:

Equipment Needed:
Our equipment needs will initially be modest as we establish the property gradually. Basic tools for gardening, landscaping, and property maintenance will be important, along with small equipment such as a compact tractor, mower, and utility tools for maintaining fields, gardens, and animal areas. If the property includes existing farm equipment or infrastructure, we would be happy to utilize and maintain it. Our approach is to grow thoughtfully and acquire additional equipment over time as the needs of the land and farm develop.
