Over the past 28+ years horses have been a large part of my life including taking lessons, volunteering and teaching at a therapeutic horsemanship facility, working at boarding barns, and now owning a horse. I was in 4-H here in Maine for seven years and upon graduation from college I worked for 4-H and Cooperative Extension where I gained a deeper understanding of Maine farm life, but certainly still have alot to learn about aspects beyond horses. 

My current need is to purchase a minimum of 2 acres of land so I can bring my horse home to live with me. Land to build a small house on, or land with an existing home and/or barn are all being considered. If a larger parcel is available I'd want to incorporate what is already being done with the property (fruit trees, gardens, etc.) and later add in an agritourism side including an event space for weddings and retreats, as well as animal-focused on-farm events. I would love to be able to combine my marketing skills, event planning experience, and background in both formal and informal education programs, to create a successful business/career that brings folks to the farm to learn more about animals, agriculture and themselves in the process. I am very much open to whatever possibilities present themselves based on the land.
