Past and Present Farming Experience:

I have three years of experience running my own small regenerative farm. I have sold pasture-raised broiler chickens, pasture-raised duck and chicken eggs, sheep milk herd shares, as well as market gardening veggies.

Business Plan and/or future farming vision and goals:

I will be coming from Hawaii where I have to shut down my farm due to the land being sold to developers. This has happened several times to me, so I'm looking for someplace that I can be long-term and set down roots (quite literally), I would be okay with a long-term lease, but if there is an option to buy, that would be even better. I farm organically, using KNF methods. I create all my own input with the exception of once a season bulk organic mushroom compost purchase. I plan to run meat chickens and egg layers on pasture, as well as a small herd of dairy sheep eventually for milk herd shares. I also want to run a small veggie CSA. I have found that sales work best when you sell a large variety of products to a small number of faithful customers, rather than trying to sell one item to someone who doesn't return. I have been doing "all-inclusive CSAs" this past year, and that works really well with the main veggie and egg box with the option to add chicken and milk each week.
