Currently, I am the sole operator of a herb farm and apothecary growing both annuals and perennials on a half acre of leased land. I sell value-added products such as dry herbs, tea blends, and apothecary products such as tinctures, infused oils, vinegars and syrups. I sell at farmers markets, through wholesale distributors and stores, and online. I have full time work running an agricultural program for youth. I have been farming since 2013 when I was a MOFGA apprentice and have continued farming in various capacities (veggies, goats, dairy, orchard, research, herbs).

I have a more complete business plan. In summary, my goal is to cultivate 3 acres of perennials herbs, berries and nursery stock, 1 acre of annual herbs, and 1 acre of orchard. I am working on my organic certification now and will certify all herb crops. I would prefer to own the land. I would like to continue vending part-time at two markets, with a focus on winter and autumn sales. My goals in the land search is to find a place that can accommodate a greenhouse for propagation, as well as infrastructure for storage and processing.
