Medomak River farm is 128 Acres of land protected by a Conservation Easement overseen by Knox-Lincoln County Soil and Water conservation District which allows for agriculture and silviculture use. It is one of the few remaining original land parcels created when Waldoborough was Incorporated and it has a long history of farm use. The farm has 800 feet of waterfront on the Medomak River a few miles up from Muscongus Bay. There is currently 15 acres of hay field, horse and goat turn out, a small garden with fruit trees, grape vines, garlic, peonies, and native pollinator plants. The woods have a forestry management plan-the goal of which is to protect the health of the woods, aesthetics, and habitat, as well as production of board wood and firewood for sale. The farm backs up to many acres protected by Mid-Coast conservancy. The mid-coast location allows for both a local and vacationer customer base. Owners are vested in fighting food insecurity in Lincoln County and beyond and believe the farm is meant to support this endeavor. With that said, the current owners are hobby farmers at best and are therefore looking for a professional/s to make better use of the resources available. They are open-minded individuals who look forward to collaborating with creative individuals to make best use of the property for all involved.
