The property is 225 acres at the base of Flint Mountain, with western views of the white mountains and half a mile of Crooked River frontage. The property has a farmhouse, occupied by the owners, and a rental cabin that is occupied by a renter. There is a 60x72 horse barn that was built by a previous owner which has water, electricity, and lights. 1/2 of the barn is currently occupied by storage space, a common workshop, as well as a private workshop of a renting artisan. The other half of the barn is being reserved for agricultural uses. It includes 4 11x12' stalls previously used for horses. One stall has been converted into an insulated brooder room. There are sliding barn doors that access outdoor areas that could be used for pasture, fencing of animals, or other farm activities. The property is used as a permanent residence, and a lodging business is being built with rental cabins and campsites. However, we want to dedicate a portion of the land to agricultural use and help provide someone with affordable land and barn space to farm. In the past much of the land was used for pasture, so we hope without much work it can be used for grazing again. We are not farmers and don't know much about farming, but are excited to have farming around. This is an old New England hill farm after all!
