Property has been family owned for over 200 years and farmed until 1950. We want to see as much land restored as possible while assisting one or more young farmers. We have been doing improvements to the forested land by selectively harvesting and replanting with Black Walnut and Chestnut trees for a more useful outcome. This will be an evolving endeavor on our part, so we are looking to offer some of the unused land to a new farmer. With that said, we recognize that this has been raw, untouched land for many years. There is currently no resources nearby the open field; meaning no water source and there is no housing offered. We are open to any ideas and look forward to hearing them. This could be utilized by a local farmer to the area looking for extra growing space, or a new startup venture, looking for an agreement that will help them get started.
